Freaky Badgers

In Leicester, England in a Graveyard dating back to the 1100's badgers have been digging up human remains.

A child found one leg bone and since then 2 more have been discovered. Due to the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 local residents are powerless to stop the creatures.  Under the law it is also illegal to distrub a badgers sett(den), so they cant even properly rebury the remains. Reverend Simon Shouler From the article:
We cannot go near the sett, and English Nature will not grant us a license to relocate them so there is nothing we can do other than to let them remain in the churchyard, digging up the remains of people who have been buried for several hundred years.

  7. Poor humans! What a contradiction this is. They should allow them to rebury the remains, it is unfair.

  8. Who cares, they've been dead for 900 years. As if anyone around today aside from historians actually remember the people buried there.
