Derpy Update
So instead of responding to us, Hasbro has sent a small message about Derpy, over to gawker. Yeah the gawker that loves to mock us. So right of the bat, thats what Hasbro thinks of you.
Regardless here what Hasbro spokeswoman Nicole Angello had to say:
"The 'My Little Pony Friendship is Magic' series has always been about acceptance and inclusion, and the series strives to convey that through the playful antics of a diverse cast of characters," and "Some viewers felt that aspects of the episode 'The Last Roundup' did not stay true to the core message of friendship which is the heart and soul of the series. Hasbro Studios decided to make slight audio alterations to this single episode."
(emphasis mine)
So there you go. You can stop trying to blame itunes. Hasbro was influenced by a subset of 'fans' and is not going to even brother to respond to the rest of us, apparently.
So is there anything left to do? You can still try their official contact forms:

However it seems pretty clear that they will not deal with us, or revert the changes. Another angle that many fans seem to have not considered is how tight the reigns will end up over at Studio B thanks to this fiasco, and what sorts of things that could have been in the cards for us, that we will never even know about, now.
In the end I guess this is a good lesson to all young bronies, dont be friends with anyone who may be disabled, and dont bother trying to fight the system.
Her name is Derpy Hooves.
EDIT
About the gawker rumor Nicole Agnello is a real person and does work for hasbro: http://www.linkedin.com/in/nicoleagnello
Saying the article is fake is pretty much just grasping for straws and wishful thinking

The Gawker article is a fake. The spokeswoman cited DOES NOT EXIST.
ReplyDeleteIts almost certainly legit. Their was a typo in the name. Regardless of how I feel about them, I dont believe gawker has a history of making things up.
